KHF 'Selbu' Star
The KHF website currently features a star design as seen above and in the blue bar on the left-hand-side. The eight-pointed star or rose motif is a traditional one, now most commonly associated with the well-known black-and-white Norwegian 'Selbu' knitting after which it is sometimes named, but variants of which are found in different knitting cultures throughout the ages, from finely-knitted cushions in the tombs of thirteenth century Castilian Royalty, to Fair Isle jumpers in the twentieth.
